In-Plugin News Feed

modelBridge includes a live news feed that appears as a compact banner just below the tab bar. It keeps you informed about new AI models, feature updates, and service notices without leaving Premiere Pro. The banner is designed to be minimal — one line of text that stays out of your way while you work.

New model announcements. When a new AI model becomes available on fal.ai, modelBridge detects it automatically and shows a banner like “Update: Veo 3.1 Lite — Now available on modelBridge.” Clicking “Try it” opens the model search with the model name pre-filled, so you can add it to your library with one click. No need to check fal.ai’s website or social media — the models come to you.

Feature updates. When modelBridge ships a new feature — like background generation time estimates or mobile preview — the banner tells you what’s new and links to documentation. Blue-colored banners indicate feature updates.

Service notices. If fal.ai has scheduled maintenance or an outage, a red banner warns you before it affects your work. These notices can’t be dismissed — they stay visible until the maintenance window passes, so you’re never surprised by unexpected downtime.

Tips and tricks. Occasionally, a subtle gray banner suggests workflow improvements — like using Dual Mode to compare models, or how to use the cost tracker. These are easy to dismiss and never repeat.

The banner checks for news once when you open the plugin. It picks the most important unread item and shows it. If the text is too long to fit, it scrolls slowly — hover to pause and read. Click the action button to respond (try a model, read details, etc.), or click × to dismiss. Dismissed items don’t come back.

You can turn off non-critical news in Settings. Service notices (maintenance, outages) will always show regardless of this setting, because missing a downtime warning could waste your time and API credits.

modelBridge automatically monitors fal.ai’s model catalog in the background. When new models appear in categories you can use (video, image, audio, speech, music), the plugin validates them for compatibility and creates a news item automatically. Most of the time, you’ll see new models in your banner before they’re announced anywhere else.

The news feed request sends only your plugin version and platform (Mac/Windows) to our server. No personal data, API keys, generation history, or usage patterns are transmitted. See our privacy policy for full details.
