Preview on mobile — see your work on the screen it's made for

TL;DR: Every generation automatically sends to your phone. Scan the QR code once, add to home screen, and you have a dedicated modelBridge preview app that always shows your latest generation — with safe zone overlays for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. No cables, no AirDrop, no manual file transfer.

A social ad that looks great on your Premiere monitor can feel completely different on a phone screen. Subjects get cropped. Text sits outside safe zones. Motion that reads well at 1920×1080 looks chaotic at 9:16.

The only way to know how a generation actually feels for its intended audience is to see it on the device they’ll watch it on — before it goes to the timeline.

First-time setup — scan once, done forever

Section titled “First-time setup — scan once, done forever”

After your first generation completes, a Preview on mobile row appears at the bottom of the preview panel.

Setup steps:

  1. Click QR in the preview row to expand the QR code
  2. Scan with your phone — opens the modelBridge preview page in your browser
  3. Tap Share → Add to Home Screen
  4. Open the modelBridge app from your home screen

That’s it. The QR code is tied to your machine — the same URL forever. You never scan again. Every future generation on this machine automatically appears on your phone within seconds.

The mobile preview is a PWA — it installs like a native app, runs fullscreen with no browser chrome, and polls for new content every 5 seconds.

For every generation:

  • Video autoplays muted and loops — tap for playback controls
  • Images display full-width, centered
  • Multi-image results show as a swipeable carousel
  • Audio shows as a full player with progress and duration
  • Metadata card shows model name, category, and time since generation

For Dual Mode generations: Both model results appear as labeled slides — swipe to compare on the actual screen size.

Tap the Safezone pill at the bottom of the screen to choose a platform overlay:

  • TikTok — shows the safe area for TikTok’s UI elements
  • Instagram — shows Instagram Reels safe zones
  • YouTube — shows YouTube Shorts safe zones

The overlay is semi-transparent and persists across reloads. Toggle on while reviewing, off to see the full frame. Essential for Meta ads, Reels, and any vertical content where subject placement matters.

Standard workflow:

  1. Generate in modelBridge as normal
  2. While the preview plays in Premiere’s Source Monitor — glance at your phone
  3. The generation is already there, autoplaying
  4. Tap Safezone to check subject placement against platform UI
  5. If it looks right on mobile — import to timeline
  6. If not — adjust and regenerate

No extra steps. No manual sends. The mobile preview happens automatically after every generation.

Working on Meta ads and mobile-first content

Section titled “Working on Meta ads and mobile-first content”

For Meta ads, social content, and any vertical format — run this check before every import:

  1. Generate at the right aspect ratio (9:16, 1:1, 4:5)
  2. Phone preview appears automatically
  3. Enable the platform safe zone overlay
  4. Check: is the subject in the safe area? Does text clear the UI zone? Does the motion read at small size?
  5. If yes — import. If no — fix the prompt, source material, or framing and regenerate

This replaces the old workflow of: generate → export → AirDrop → open on phone → realize the subject is behind the like button → go back to Premiere → repeat.

Multi-image capMaximum 4 images shown per generation
Requires active licenseMobile preview silently skips without active license

Meta ad campaign: Generate a 9:16 video. Phone preview appears automatically. Enable TikTok safe zone — check that the product and headline clear the bottom UI strip. Looks good — import. Next variation.

Instagram Reels, multiple options: Use Dual Mode to generate two model variations simultaneously. Both appear on mobile as labeled slides — swipe to compare on the actual screen. Pick the stronger one, import.

Client review on the spot: You’re in a meeting. Generate a new variation. Hand the client your phone — they see it fullscreen, autoplaying, on the screen format it’s designed for. No projector, no screen share, no file transfer.

Agency handoff: Share the Copy link with a colleague — they see your latest generation on their phone in real time as you generate.

Common failure modes — if generation fails or preview doesn’t appear on mobile.
