Commercial Use

modelBridge displays a commercial use badge on models tagged as commercially safe by fal.ai. You can filter search results using the Commercial filter chip to show only models with a commercial license. This badge and filter are based on the license_type metadata provided by fal.ai’s API.

This filtering is a convenience feature to help you identify models suitable for commercial work. It does not constitute a legal guarantee of commercial use rights.

Each AI model’s license is owned and governed by the model’s author and/or fal.ai. modelBridge does not grant, modify, or extend any model license. The commercial use badge reflects what fal.ai reports — modelBridge does not independently verify or audit these license claims.

If you use AI-generated content commercially, you are responsible for:

  • Reviewing the specific license of each model you use — license terms vary between models and may change over time
  • Checking fal.ai’s terms of service for any restrictions on commercial use of generated content
  • Complying with your jurisdiction’s laws regarding AI-generated content in commercial contexts
  • Verifying license status before delivering AI-generated content to clients — do not rely solely on the badge

For model-specific licensing details, see the model’s page on fal.ai/models or contact the model author directly.

modelBridge charges a $7/month subscription for access to the plugin. This subscription covers:

  • The plugin itself and all its features
  • Access to the schema-driven UI engine
  • Cost tracking, reports, and workflow tools
  • All future updates during your subscription

The subscription does not include AI generation costs. You pay fal.ai directly at their published rates using your own API key. modelBridge does not add any per-generation fees, revenue share, or markup on top of what fal.ai charges.

For agency and freelancer workflows, modelBridge tracks the commercial license status of each model used in your generations. This data feeds into:

  • HTML reports — compliance badges showing the percentage of generations using commercially licensed models
  • Generation logs — per-entry commercial license status
  • CSV exports — license data included for external audit

These tools help you document compliance but do not replace your own due diligence on license terms.
